Rotary District 5890 Conference is only three months away: April 16-20 2015 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, LA

Allow me to quote from the District 5890 as it says it so very, very well:

“Register NOW for our fabulous District Conference in April and LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULEZ!  It starts with a Second Line Band March led by District Governor Lisa Faith Massey, then on to a "kick-off jazz dinner cruise" on the Riverboat Natchez, and ends with a true NOLA District Governor's Masquerade Ball (that's right ball gowns and tuxedos adorned by fabulous masks). April 16-19 will be filled with fun and fellowship, not to mention great speakers talking about the power and import of Service!  We have Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia lined-up to speak, and Culture Map Houston founder and publisher Nic Phillips will join us to talk about the best way to reach the "next generation of Rotarians". Oh, and did we mention that a former White House Chief of Staff is also coming? You will learn about our District’s impressive literacy-projects, and on Saturday, we’ll go to the historic 9th ward of New Orleans for a "hands on project" in Musician's Village. A cooking class in the French Quarter on Friday for all registered spouses and guests is sure to be a hit, and other spectacular activities have been planned to coincide with the plenary sessions. Please do remember that conference registration is required for spouse and guest participation. Do you want to miss out on NOLA fun and being there when your club wins "club of the year"?  Sign Up TODAY for yourself and guests!”

Let me add a couple of things:

(1) Our own Ronnie Hallenberger is investigating the options for Friday night’s restaurant gatherings. You know how well Ronnie does things, and that Friday night we will have the opportunity to gather together to sample the best of NOLA. Later you might find some of us at Harrah’s.

(2) The hotel is the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. The rate is wonderful – $189/night before taxes. You are right there!

(3) Bus transportation is an option if you do not want to drive or fly. You received an email from Rebecca Maddux this morning (Monday morning that is) about how to register for one of the many buses to and from the conference.
