Exchange Student from Argentina Gets Early Morning Welcome

Alejo from Argentina arrived early Tuesday morning, August 16, to a small but enthusiastic crowd of Rotarians and his first host family, the Eushers.

From IAH we went over to IHOP at Shepherd and 59 for a hearty breakfast. Alejo's English is excellent. Both he and Ayuri completed RYE Orientation Camp this past weekend and started school this week. Can you imagine how nervous they must be?

Meanwhile, our club's outbounds, Dorothy Nugent (pictured above) and Emma Reagan, have gone off to their respective adventures in Argentina and Bolivia. Dorothy is living with Alejo's family, replacing him and getting 2 older brothers in the deal. But Dorothy has 5 brothers in her own family so she should adapt well.
