Great turnout for Backpacks!

 

Thanks to all the club Rotarians and their family and friends who came out on Saturday, August 13th, to load new backpacks to be given to children with limited resources starting school in a few days.   It didn't take long for them to be put into service at the Shearn Elementary back-to-school day for area families.   
Kudos to Chad Spencer for leading this effort and getting the backpacks at a better price, then having them embroidered so West U Rotary is seen by many.  Who knows?  Maybe some child carrying one of our backpacks will be a future Rotarian and recall this early exposure to what we are about.
