Hello West U Rotarians and Guests,
We had another very nice turnout at Pico's this past week, plus we had a good amount on Zoom. Glad to see everyone and I encourage everyone to get engaged in Rotary. We have so many channels to get involved in.
Ana Morao gave an update on our medical equipment drive for Luanda. Reach out to her if you want to help and get involved. I love how Rotary is an international organization.
We heard from my neighbor, Pam Plagens, who works for the US Department of Commerce, as the Advanced Manufacturing Team Lead. She is very knowledgeable and please reach out to her if you have any questions or ideas. She is super nice and a great neighbor too.

Douglas Burns will be joining to talk about improving your travel/vacation photos; a photographer's 15 top tips
Douglas Burns fell in love with photography at an early age pouring though the photos in National Geographic Magazine. However it was in college where the photo bug really bit him. Since then he has traveled the world seeking photographic opportunities both professionally and personally. He has worked as a Director of Photography on projects with National Geographic TV documentaries, ESPN, TV personality Dr Phil, basketball player Yao Ming, former boxing champion and TV pitchman George Forman, major league baseball player Craig Biggio, and many others. He is fascinated with light in its various forms and how it shapes the world we see. Light can transform a scene, create a mood, or evoke a memory.
