Fourth of July event raises record amount - $4,500!

Under the leadership of Richard Lazear, the 2015 Fourth of July parade and burger fundraiser set an all-time record of $4,500 for funds raised to benefit West U's Challenger Baseball program.
A while back Richard Lazear (on the left in the above picture) proposed we re-examine our Fourth of July activities and see if we could do better. He worked with Tim O'Connor (the man in the middle) and together they coordinated the addition of a float, a dignitary car, and recruited new, more, and larger sponsors of this annual event. Prince's burgers, Ruggles brownies, Kroger chips and cookies, Jerry Built lemonade and Java Pura coffee made a great all-American picnic feast for the hundreds of residents who came out for the fun. That is current President Greg Faldyn pictured with Richard and Tim.
Sponsors included Grand Sponsor Kroger, Java Pura, Berings, David Atkins of Heritage Properties, West U Travel, Contemporary Dental/Steven Vaughan, DDS, Texas Citizen's Bank, Agency Yu, Inc., and more. Consider patronizing the businesses and mention their support.
